1.About these Terms
Aptitude Arena (the Platform) is run by [Registered Legal Entity Name] ([Company Identification Number]), at [Registered Office Address, City, State, PIN] (we, us, our). These Terms are an agreement between you and us about how you can use the Platform.
When you create an account or use any part of the Platform, you are agreeing to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which counts as part of them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000. They do not need a physical or digital signature.
2.Who can use the platform
The Platform is built for students preparing for entrance exams in India.
- If you are below 18, you can use the Platform only with a parent or guardian involved. They agree to these Terms for you and are responsible for how you use it. This is because Indian law does not let anyone below 18 agree to a contract on their own. We also handle data belonging to under-18 users more carefully, which we explain in the children and young users section of our Privacy Policy.
- Give us correct details when you sign up, and keep them up to date. One account per person, and your account is yours alone - do not share it, sell it or hand it to someone else.
3.Your account
You can sign in with your email and a one-time code, a password, or an option like Google. We may ask you to verify your email or mobile number before some features open up.
Keep your login details, one-time codes and devices safe. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you, so tell us at support@aptitudearena.example as soon as you think someone else has got in.
4.Plans, payments and refunds
Current position
Aptitude Arena is free to use right now. There are no paid plans yet and we are not collecting any money from students. This section explains how billing would work if we add paid plans later, so there are no surprises.
If we add paid plans
- We will always make it clear that a plan is paid before you buy it. The purchase screen will show what you get, how long it lasts and exactly what it costs. If anything elsewhere on the site says something different, the purchase screen is the one that counts. If something free becomes paid, we will tell you first.
- We will never charge you without your say-so. Carrying on using something that is free today will never, on its own, mean you owe us money.
- Payments would be in Indian Rupees through a payment gateway, and the checkout will say whether taxes like GST are included. We never see or store your full card, UPI or bank details - the gateway handles those. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may pause the paid features until it is sorted out.
- If a plan renews on its own, we will tell you before you pay and you can turn off renewal whenever you like. Turning it off stops future charges, but it does not cut short the time you have already paid for.
Refunds
You get the content straight away, so refunds are limited. Once paid plans exist, you can ask for a refund within 7 days of being charged if:
- you were charged twice for the same plan, or charged by mistake;
- you could not use what you paid for over a long stretch because of a problem at our end; or
- Indian consumer law says you are owed one.
Email support@aptitudearena.example from your registered address with the payment reference. Refunds go back to the way you paid and can take a few working days to show up. We normally will not refund a plan just because you did not get around to using it, or because an exam result did not go the way you hoped.
5.Content accuracy and results
The Platform has practice questions, previous-year questions from officially released papers, explanations, mock tests, analytics and other study material. We call all of it the Content. We check it carefully, but it is meant for practice.
We cannot promise exam results
We cannot promise you any particular score, percentile, rank, shortlist or admission. How you do depends on plenty of things we do not control. Nothing here is a guarantee of how you will perform in a real exam.
- The Content can have mistakes, gaps or answers people disagree about, and exam patterns and marking schemes change from time to time. The official notification, syllabus and answer key from the exam body is always the final word - if our Content says something different, go with the official source.
- If you think a question or answer is wrong, report it using the option on that question. We look at every report and fix what needs fixing, though we cannot promise to make a specific change.
- Some explanations and answer checks are written or helped along by AI, so read them with a critical eye. There is more on this in the automated and AI processing section of our Privacy Policy.
6.Exam names and trademarks
We currently cover the exams below, and we add more over time. Each one is set and run by an independent body. We name them only so you know which exam a question bank or mock test is built for.
| Exam | Full name | Conducted by |
|---|---|---|
| CUET | Common University Entrance Test | National Testing Agency (NTA) |
| CLAT | Common Law Admission Test | Consortium of National Law Universities |
| CAT | Common Admission Test | Indian Institutes of Management |
| IPMAT | Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test | IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak (separate papers) |
| NDA (coming soon) | National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination | Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) |
An exam marked coming soon is one we are still building content for. It is not ready yet, nothing here is a promise to launch it by a certain date, and we may add, delay or drop any exam.
These exam names, and the names of the bodies that run them, belong to those bodies.
- We are not connected to, endorsed by or sponsored by any exam body, university or conducting authority. We only use their names to describe what an exam is.
- Previous-year questions come from papers the exam body has released publicly for students to practise with, and each one credits its source. If you own rights in anything here and think we have used it wrongly, write to grievance@aptitudearena.example and we will look into it and take it down if we should.
7.Acceptable use
Please do not, and do not try to:
- copy, scrape, bulk-download, re-publish, sell or pass on the Content, whether by hand or with a script;
- share or sell access to your account, or use the Platform to run a coaching class, test series or rival service without our written go-ahead;
- take apart, poke at or interfere with the Platform, its APIs, its security or its rate limits, or try to reach data that is not yours;
- post anything illegal, defamatory, obscene, hateful, misleading, harmful to a child, or carrying malware;
- pretend to be someone else or use another person's identity or details;
- use the Platform to cheat or gain an unfair edge in a real exam; or
- use it in any way that breaks the law or tramples on someone else's rights.
The Content is the heart of what we do and is protected by copyright. Pulling questions, explanations or analytics out in bulk is a serious breach of these Terms and may also break our rights under the Copyright Act, 1957.
8.Test integrity and monitoring
Mock tests and contests are scored and sometimes ranked against other students. To keep those results worth something, the test screen notes a few things your browser does while a timed test is running.
What the test window notices
During a timed mock test or contest, we may record when you enter or leave full screen, switch away from or back to the test tab, click outside the test window, or use copy, paste, right-click or developer tools - along with the time each thing happened.
We do not use your camera or microphone, record your screen, log your keystrokes, or look at anything else on your device. There is a full breakdown in the test-integrity signals section of our Privacy Policy.
If a test has a limit on these, you will get warnings as they add up, and the test may submit itself once you hit the limit. If we have good reason to think a test was tampered with, we may cancel the attempt, take it off the leaderboard, hold back rewards, or suspend the account.
Do not use a second device, a second account, outside help, bots or anything else to get an unfair edge in a timed test or contest.
9.Community content and conduct
You can post discussions, doubts, solutions, replies and votes. We call this your User Content, and it stays yours.
- By posting, you give us permission to store and show that content on the Platform, and to moderate or remove it. This permission lasts as long as the post is up, and we do not pay for it or sell it on.
- Only post things you have the right to post, and that do not step on anyone else's rights.
- When you post anonymously, other students cannot see who you are, but your account is still linked to the post on our side so we can enforce these Terms and follow the law.
- No spam or promotions, no sharing other people's contact details, no leaked exam papers, no pirated material, and no abuse aimed at any person or group.
We may review posts but we do not have to. We can remove content or restrict accounts that break these Terms or the law, including when someone complains through the grievance route in clause 18.
10.Coins, streaks and leaderboards
- Coins, streaks and badges exist to keep you practising regularly. They are not money and have no cash value. You cannot cash them out, swap them for anything outside the Platform, or move them to another account.
- We may change how they are earned or spent, expire unused balances after telling you, or take back rewards picked up through a bug or by gaming the system.
- We set the leaderboard rules, which may mean only your first completed attempt counts. We can leave out or remove entries we have good reason to think were manipulated.
11.Our intellectual property
The Platform - its software, design, branding, question bank, explanations and analytics - either belongs to us or is licensed to us, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You get permission to use the Platform and the Content for your own exam preparation. That permission is personal to you, cannot be passed on, and we can withdraw it if you break these Terms. Take notes and print reasonable extracts for your own study, but do not hand them around.
12.Availability and changes
- We try to keep the Platform up, but we cannot promise it will never go down or never have bugs. Access may pause for maintenance, upgrades or things outside our control.
- We may add, change, limit or stop features, question banks, exams or plans, and anything marked beta can disappear without notice. If a change takes away a big part of something you are paying for, we will tell you first and, where it makes sense, refund the unused part.
13.Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Platform whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account - see the your rights section of our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close your access, telling you where we reasonably can, if you break these Terms, if what you are doing puts the Platform or other students at risk, if the law requires it, or if we shut the service down. When that happens your permission to use the Platform ends, but the parts of these Terms that are meant to outlast it - such as intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits and governing law - still apply.
14.Disclaimers
As far as the law allows, the Platform and the Content are provided as they are, with no guarantees attached - about accuracy, about being fit for any particular purpose, or otherwise. We cannot promise the Content is complete, current or free of mistakes, or that every bug gets fixed. Nothing here removes any responsibility that Indian law says we cannot remove.
15.Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows:
- we are not responsible for knock-on losses - such as a missed opportunity, a result or rank you hoped for, an admission, lost data or damage to reputation; and
- if we are held responsible for something, the most we would owe you in total is whichever is higher: what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem, or INR 1,000.
These limits cover every kind of claim, and apply even if we knew the loss was possible.
16.If you cause us a loss
If someone brings a claim against [Registered Legal Entity Name] because you broke these Terms or the law, because of something you posted, or because you misused the Platform, you agree to cover the resulting costs, including reasonable legal fees.
17.Governing law and disputes
Indian law applies to these Terms, and the courts at [City], [State] deal with any dispute about them or about the Platform.
Before going to court, please write to grievance@aptitudearena.example so we can try to sort it out directly. This does not take away your right to go to a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
18.Complaints and grievances
If you have a complaint about something on the Platform or about how you have been treated, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its 2021 Intermediary Guidelines give you a named person to go to:
Grievance Officer - [Grievance Officer Name]
[Registered Legal Entity Name][Registered Office Address, City, State, PIN]grievance@aptitudearena.exampleWe will confirm we have got your complaint within 24 hours and aim to settle it within 15 days. Please include your registered email, what went wrong, and a link to the content if there is one.
19.Changes to these Terms
We will update these Terms as the Platform grows or the law changes. The new version goes up on this page with a fresh "last updated" date, and if something important changes we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using the Platform after that, you are accepting the updated Terms.
